can't launch gnome terminal as root

After the update that changed  "dbus"  i can't run sudo gnome-terminal, i get the following

Error constructing proxy for org.gnome.Terminal:/org/gnome/Terminal/Factory0: Error spawning command line 'dbus-launch --autolaunch=60f565ced8454abab4d02efe06913c85 --binary-syntax --close-stderr': Child process exited with code 1

any tips on how to fix it?

Lots of similar threads about this.

Use gksudo. If that doesn't work, check for a pam .pacnew

Re: can't launch gnome terminal as root

I found this can make it work

gksu dbus-launch gnome-terminal

no idea why adding dbus-launch now is necessary to root apps
