Hi, new user/first time installer here
When typing anywhere, using a symbol, followed by a letter will cause the entire desktop environment to freeze for the duration of the keypress. If I press qqqqqqqq, there is no issue, ------, there is no issue, however -q-q-q-q-q-q-q-q (or any other combination of symbols and letters, backspace included) will cause everything to freeze until I stop typing - at which point all of the keypresses will have registered.
- The issue is present only within X, as this does not occur in TTY.
- The issue is only when using my CM Storm Quickfire TK keyboard, other USB keyboards do not cause this issue.
- Using Gnome 3.20.2
- Using xf86-video-ati-1:7.7.0-1
- xf86-input-keyboard and xf86-input-evdev are installed and up to date
- Issue does not occur using CM Storm keyboard on other operating systems or distros (tried win7, win10 and opensuse leap 42.1)

I also have this issue, I can't seem to replicate it as easily as you but I definitely get key lag/freeze/spam. I've searched everywhere for solutions. It seems that mac users are also having this problem. I've posted on the CM keyboard forums but I think CM doesn't want to respond since they have no idea how to fix it and it's not under their compatibility.
I definitely notice this issue when I'm using CTRL+Backspace and it starts to occur more frequently the more I start pressing symbols.
EDIT: I have found out that this happens for both of my keyboards. I am starting to think my issue is either with the usb ports or with the driver.
