Chip-tuning tools

Hi! Anybody has some experience in car's chip-tuning? I mean:

1. scanner for ODBII (found a lot of tools)
2. tools to make backup of firmware
3. tools to reprogramming firmware (chip-tuning)
4. Any useful info will be a plus

Thanks.

Re: Chip-tuning tools

I cannot really help you, but I've two thoughts.

First, be careful.  ECUs are really expensive.
Second, screwing with anything that impacts emission controls is (a) irresponsible and (b) quite probably illegal.  If deemed so, we will have to shut down the thread.

As long as you avoid those pitfalls, good luck with your project.  It could be fun.

Edit: Oh, and welcome to the Arch Linux forums.
