Hello all!
I would like to know the difference between:
fvwm-cvs http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?d … s=0&SeB=nd
and
fvwm-trans http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?d … s=0&SeB=nd
Both have fvwm-translucency.diff installed. I currently use fvwm-trans (2.5.16) but I think the pkgbuild need a update to build with xorg7.
Thanks for your help.

fvwm-cvs is built from CVS and can be updated frequently using versionpkg. fvwm-trans is built from src tarballs.

One is from cvs and one is not?

fvwm-cvs doesn't seems to compile well even with --with-xft-prefix=/usr and using versionpkg.
for fvwm-trans no more fvwm-menutitlefont.patch
It should be cool too to have a short of arch default theme ... because if you didn't know the power of fvwm the "default" theme is ugly

fvwm-cvs works for me using versionpkg if I change --with-xft-prefix to /usr and edit lines 361 and 362 of fvwm-translucency.diff (change usefull to useful)

I made this change and the pkgbuild work great for fvwm-cvs.
Thank you for your help.
Is there a way to notify dibblethewrecker about the change in the pkgbuild and the change in the .diff?

shebang - I did not have notify on this pkg in the AUR so I missed your comments two months ago. Having said that I have only just got my internet access abck and can now take some time to update my pkgs properly

Great. My favorite WM since I started using it (and one of the few packages I have voted for). I figured when you had the chance it would get updated and until then the comments might help someone else. Thanks for the pkgbuild.

So what is in fvwm-cvs that's not in the released versions? Tempted..
