I have two wifi adapators, the built-in adaptor of the laptop, and another one via usb. Is there a way to turn one of them off without turning off the other? When I try:
sudo ip link set wlp2s0 down
The adaptor turns off for a while, but after 30 seconds it automatically turns on again. what should I do?

Welcome to Arch Linux. To avoid confusion, you may want to fix your homophone. (to->two)
What are you using to control your wireless network controllers? (NetworkManager, systemd-network, wicd, netctl....)
