[KDE Plasma] How to make ssh://USER@HOST URL handler work?

Background: I need to use KeePass running SSH-Sessions over a ssh:// url handler. Because KeePass (and it's db's) is synced over a cloud and used parallel in Windoes and Linux I usually place "ssh://{USERNAME}@{TITLE} in the URL field and I'm able to login with ssh key. Working fine on Windows. Mono (KeePass.exe) uses xdg for url handler.

Now trying to do the same on Linux running KDE Plasma.

$ xdg-mime query default x-scheme-handler/ssh
ktelnetservice5.desktop

$ xdg-open ssh://USER@HOSTNAME
kf5.kio.core: Refilling KProtocolInfoFactory cache in the hope to find "ssh"
kf5.kio.core: Refilling KProtocolInfoFactory cache in the hope to find "ssh"
kf5.kio.core: Refilling KProtocolInfoFactory cache in the hope to find "ssh"
kf5.kio.core: "preferred service for x-scheme-handler/ssh" "ktelnetservice5"

$ cat /usr/share/applications/ktelnetservice5.desktop
[Desktop Entry]
Type=Application
Exec=ktelnetservice5 %u
Icon=utilities-terminal
MimeType=x-scheme-handler/telnet;x-scheme-handler/rlogin;x-scheme-handler/ssh;

X-DocPath=kioslave5/telnet/index.html
NoDisplay=true

Name=KTelnetService
...

But all I get is the Plasma "bouncing" cursor and nothing happens. xdg-open correctly trys to open ktelnetservice.

Running

$ ktelnetservice5 ssh://HOSTNAME

works and opens a konsole window with ssh login prompt, but

$ ktelnetservice5 ssh://USER@HOSTNAME

does not work and does nothing

Why? And how do I get it work? Do I really need to write a wrapperscript for this url handler?

Re: [KDE Plasma] How to make ssh://USER@HOST URL handler work?

This is a side effect of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=366793

ktelnetservice runs 'konsole -e ssh -l USER HOSTNAME/path'. Due to this bug, konsole interprets the '-l' as an argument for itself instead of for the ssh command.
