Razer Kraken 7.1: sound only works after reinserting the USB

Hello,

I have a 'Razer Kraken 7.1' headset.

Problem:
When I boot my computer into Arch Linux and I login. The headset doesn't output any sound. I looked at the output of; 'dmesg' and it is recognized. After some Google searches I noticed the device has been registred as 'Keyboard' type or 'Input' type of device (not sure yet)

The output states:

$ dmesg | grep Kraken
[    2.133061] input: Razer Razer Kraken 7.1 as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.0/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.3/0003:1532:0501.0001/input/input2
[    2.183492] hid-generic 0003:1532:0501.0001: input,hiddev0,hidraw0: USB HID v1.11 Device [Razer Razer Kraken 7.1] on usb-0000:00:14.0-2/input3

Workaround
If I want to make the headset to work the steps I need to take are:
1. Boot and login
2. Remove the USB plug from the PC
3. Insert the USB plug in the PC
4. GNOME Go to: All Settings -> Sounds
5. Select the "Analog Output - Razer Kraken 7.1" on the Output tab.

I tried:
- 'udevadm trigger' to let it think the USB is reinserted without any luck.
- looked at the 'dmesg' log
- checked 'lsusb' (the device is listed fine)

Question:
Can someone help me figure out what is going wrong? or give me any tips on where to start looking to solve this?

Kind regards,

Mike
