Devil Daggers on Arch

Hi,

I'm trying to get Devil Daggers to run on arch but I'm not meeting a lot of success. I first tried through wine (with which I installed Steam) but it doesn't start at all and the console doesn't output anything about it.

I then tried to install the linux version of Steam, and followed the instructions here https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/St … ve_runtime to get Steam to run. Devil Daggers installed fine but I get the following error when I try to run it:

/home/genchou/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/devildaggers/devildaggers: /usr/lib/libcurl.so.4: version `CURL_OPENSSL_3' not found (required by /home/genchou/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/devildaggers/devildaggers)

Any ideas how to circumvent this ? Has anyone succeeded to launch the game on Arch ?

Re: Devil Daggers on Arch

Shall I google

     /usr/lib/libcurl.so.4: version `CURL_OPENSSL_3' not found

for you?

Re: Devil Daggers on Arch

I'm asking because I did not find a working solution by googling. But thanks.

Re: Devil Daggers on Arch

Bump. I too have googled this issue, and attempted several workarounds, including trying to preload libs from libcurl-compat and libcurl-gnutls and such, and have had no luck. I'm running native runtime, BTW.

Also, commenting to snarkily say "Google it" is unhelpful and a waste of time.

Re: Devil Daggers on Arch

It really isn't; this is the first time libcurl-compat has been mentioned in this thread. If OP had already tried to use that, then that would be helpful information.

Please post the exact command you are using to preload the compat library, as well as the full output you get from the application.

Re: Devil Daggers on Arch

Also post whether you are using libcurl-compat or lib32-libcurl-compat, you're using the latter one, right?
