Hi
I'm having a strange issue with MATE: since today, I can't login with this desktop environment, as it is not listed on LightDM any more.
After some investigation, I found MATE's .desktop file has completely disappeared from /usr/share/xsessions, without any action from me:
$ ls -la /usr/share/xsessions
total 32
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 2 oct. 21:00 .
drwxr-xr-x 313 root root 12288 3 oct. 19:35 ..
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 198 20 févr. 2016 openbox.desktop
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 198 20 févr. 2016 openbox-kde.desktop
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 37 25 oct. 2015 xterm
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 136 25 oct. 2015 xterm.desktopWhat can I do to bring it back?

Install (reinstall) pacakge mate-session-manager.
Check what could happen with the package:
grep mate-session-manager /var/log/pacman.logLast edited by Fixxer (2016-10-03 21:53:49)

Thanks!
The package was indeed uninstalled. When I looked at the log you suggested, it looks like it had been removed Sunday, when I ran `yaourt -Qdt` in order to remove the unneeded dependencies.
Perhaps I used Yaourt badly?
