Upgrade to gnome 3.22 with no wayland graphic card

hello,
just to warn you : wayland is defaut now.
So with my Nvidia, i had to edit /etc/gdm/custom.conf like this https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/GD … rg_backend. Very easy to do before rebooting.... unlike me.
If it's too late you re stuck with gdm failure with no console access no tty..... Don't panic press e on grub and edit the kernel ligne with systemd.unit=rescue.target, log in and edit !!!
Maybe it can be more advertise because it take me a few hours.....

Weird, Wayland has been the default for gdm since 3.18, but it is supposed to fall back to an Xorg based gdm for situations like yours. The fact that it is not is a bug


I don't really know what I'm doing.
