Font in Geany (and other applications) barely readable

Hello,

I am using Geany as my primary text editor. Although I did not change anything in Geanys font settings, the text in Geany has lately become barely readable. The font has always been set to "Courier New", size 10 (please see the following screenshot).

Maybe I overlooked something in a recent package update? Was some manual intervention required?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance & kind regards,
jamesbond007.

Try downgrading freetype2.

Don't downgrade it, simply configure it.

Re: Font in Geany (and other applications) barely readable

I changed the setting in /etc/profile.d/freetype2.sh from

truetype:interpreter-version=40

to

truetype:interpreter-version=35

The result is not perfect, but far better than before. - Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
