Hi everyone, new to the Arch linux community. Was an Ubuntu user for several years, ended back on Windows because of some school stuff, but I am ready to return to the light. Very happy with the Arch experience so far.
So I have already read about adding a margin to Openbox keep a Conker "panel" visible when a program is maximized. However, if a window is not maximized it is still possible to accidental place it so that the title bar is behind conker. Is there a way to prevent dragging windows behind conker a.k.a. stricter enforcing of that margin?
Thanks!

"conky"?
If you set it to desktop type, normal windows won't get below, but above at worst.
At some point, you can always cheat every WM to get windows in stupid locations.
You can usually move windows by pressing alt (or the windows key, depends on the config) and leftclick them anywhere.
Also tools like wmctrl and xdotool allow you to control windows programatically.

Oh man, that is slightly embarrassing. Yes I meant Conky. I was quite tired last night.
So it turns out I had two problems.
1) I accidentally used a pre-1.10 theme. The config syntax totally changed. It mostly worked, but kind of not.
2) I should've read the Conky docs closer and found the 'panel' option. This doesn't impose a 100% strict margin, but it does enforce a little bit of resistance which is good enough.
