Installing gnome-shell 3.6 or 3.8

Hello,

I've been looking to install gnome-shell 3.6+. I tried :
pacman -Syu gnome gnome-extra

I also tried adding testing, community-testing and gnome-unstable (as adviced here : https://www.garron.me/en/go2linux/upgra … inux.html) to pacman but no matter what I do I never go above 3.20

I'm sorry If this question has already been answered but I'm on this for an hour and it's driving me crazy tongue.

Thanks in advance

Re: Installing gnome-shell 3.6 or 3.8

Gnome 3.20 is Gnome version "three-twenty", not Gnome version "three-two."  3.20 is 7 major releases beyond Gnome 3.6, so you're already there.  If you want to specifically install that version of Gnome, 3.6 came out more than three years ago and Arch is not the best place to look for packages that old.  Debian stable is even on 3.14, and it froze almost two years ago.
