Hello everyone and sorry for asking so much in this forum.
I have another problem with KDE Plasma 5.8. The desktop settings don't get saved!
I mean, just the desktop settings, not the entire KDE environment ones.
I mean the change from the default Desktop view to the "folder view". It works, but when I run killall plasmashell && plasmashell, or when I restart my plasma session, it will go back to default. Why?
Thanks for help.

This is where being an old fart with time-in pays off...
The hat trick for this, is to logout/login to 'set' the settings. Then it should survive a reboot. YMMV

That didn't work. By logging out and back in, the settings get reset.

The only other suggestion I can offer is to change the settings under 'Desktop session - login and logout.' Between the the two suggestions, some combination may work suitably for your setup. I normally have it set to start with an empty session but, again, you may have varying results.
Regards
P.S. Personally, I'm getting tired of Plasma and may switch back to GNOME just in time for 3.22...

Seems like you get hit by this problem: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356899
This patch is supposed to fix it: https://quickgit.kde.org/?p=plasma-work … ab0a156d38

Nice... I just switched back to Plasma because I was getting tired of GNOME, just in time for 5.8...
Anyway, that bug and commit from @Loose_Control says what's the problem and says it was resolved... but it happens again! Maybe Plasma crashes when I exit my session?

The fix is not in any release yet

Ah, ok. I didn't read the date. Is there some info about when it will be available?
