auto-xflux failing

I'm thinking it's due to the service starting before the interface is online.
So I did systemctl edit --user --full auto-xflux and then change the After= to this:
After=NetworkManager-wait-online.service display-manager.service
But this still won't solve the problem
NetworkManager-wait-online.service and auto-xflux.service (--user) are both enabled.
What should I try next?

What DE/WM are you using? I don't think you bother using auto-xflux, you can do "xflux -z xxxxx" as a auto start entry for  almost all DE/WM.
