fglrx still fails to be loaded

I previosely posted a problem with slightly flittering screen after upgrade to Xorg7 (using default vesa driver). I have installed an actual fglrx and fglrx-utils pkgs, have aticonf-igured xorg.conf with fglrx driver, but this xorg.conf does not work. The problem is that fglrx module (driver) fails with modprobe. I use the latest standard kernel, my monitor is Packard Bell A726 and VGA is Radeon 7200 LE.
Any parameters needed for fglrx? Older Xorg and kernel worked fine... Thanks for any idea - I am not familiar with xorg.conf so much to get any cure...

Re: fglrx still fails to be loaded

-edit-

whoops, I wasn't paying attention, 7200 you say?  fglrx does not support this chipset.  For a list of supported radeon cards, see the wiki page at ATI Radeon & Kernel 2.6

What you want is the xf86-video-ati package, and the 'radeon' driver in xorg.conf.

"the module fails" doesn't tell us enough - what does it actually say when you run modprobe fglrx?

Re: fglrx still fails to be loaded

With a Radeon 7200/7250 you can get good results using the opensource driver radeon wink
