Hi, in my keyboard there isn't the mute button (i can only up or down the volume) and i'd like to add it in some F button like F8, how can i do this?
i've seen in the wiki the way to create a personal keyboard, but i don't know what options i need to write in the conf file.
An other thing that i don't have understood is how can i run it at boot, i meen i just need to add my personal keybord in vconsole file with KEYMAP="..."?
Thanks for help!

Hello!
You can use Xbindkeys to bind commands to certain keys. Xbindkeys works independent of the window manager and desktop environment.

but this solution leaves the original keybord as it is? I mean, i've alredy some shortcut that standard driver have found like up and down volume or some function option. If i use this solution my keybord will be replaced or it is only a integration?

Xbindkeys only bind command to the keys that you tell it to bind commands to.
