Hello everyone,
I am fairly new to arch linux and don't know how to go about troubleshooting. It started happening today. Basically, when I run one of the programs that come with Gnome (Web, Settings, Gnome tweak tool) my computer just logs out and prompts me for the password. Other programs like Terminator, Chrome and Spotify work normally. Can anyone give me advice on how to troubleshoot this issue because I really have no idea what to do and how to discover what is causing this.
Thank you for your time!

This likely means that Xorg crashes - check /var/log/Xorg.*.log for backtraces.
Online
I have 3 Xorg.*.log files - Xorg.1.log, Xorg.0.log and Xorg.8.log. I checked when they were modified for the last time and it was a few months ago.
Offline
xorg logs are no longer directed to /var/log. They should be in ~/.local/share/xorg/

Thank you for the information! For some reason the log has not been modified since yesterday. Do you know why that might be happening?
Offline
No, please share what is there as currently we have nothing to work with.
