I have several issues since the Gnome upgrade to 3.22. My desktop uses Wayland by default.
Sometimes when I open some applications with maximized window, this is opened with wrong appearance. It occurs only sometimes. For example: google-chrome (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/1/vie … -06-35.png). With Sublime Text 3 Nightly occurs too sometimes.
Sometimes some applications recently opened aren't showed when I press ALT + TAB.
Sometimes, when I go to a window with ALT + TAB the window is showed but without the focus. For example with Terminator.
Shutter is unable of take desktop screenshots: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/1/vie … 01_001.png
mpv is unable to show correctly a video window in full-screen with "vo=wayland".
There are more issues that I'll explain here.
I think most desktop applications are not prepared for this protocol.

Screenshot tools not working is kind of expected, since there is no real screen capturing API on Wayland. I think Gnome mutter implements something and there was also some implementation in Weston, but the screenshot tool needs to support this specific protocol then.
Apart from that threads like that probably don't help much, unless the issues encountered are also reported somewhere upstream (where ever this is in a specific case).

I have reported some of this issues to the application developer. But others are difficult to me because only occurs sometimes and I don't find the sequence to reproduce it. By that I've opened this thread, if there are another people with same issue/s perhaps we can find out the sequence.
By the way, I love the Gnome desktop environment. I've tried other desktop environments (Unity, KDE) and I'll take this.
