gnome-mpv does not use 100% of the screen on Wayland

Image: http://imgur.com/a/jUJsz

As you can see in the above image, gnome-mpv does not use 100% of the screen. It doesn't matter if I resize or toggle full-screen, the video will play on the bottom left corner. It's the same with gnome-mpv-git.

I'm using Gnome 3.22 with Wayland if that matters.

The bug is happening only when using Wayland. When I switch to Xorg there is not problem.

Any ideas why on how I can fix it?

Thank you.

Re: gnome-mpv does not use 100% of the screen on Wayland

what's your mpv config?

Some video outputs only work on x11, and there are multiple options you could try on wayland: https://mpv.io/manual/master/#video-output-drivers
vo=opengl is probably the best choice though.

I have no issues with vo=opengl-hq and hwdec=vaapi
