After an update before 2 days, when I tried to start libreoffice from command prompt, I got "command not found", so I tried to reinstall with "pacman -S", which gave me plenty of conflicts (files already exists, for almost all libreoffice files), so finally I used --force option which resulted in successfull installation of libreoffice-fresh.
After that libreoffice starts and opens presentations but, when I click on a slide for editing it freezed for about 10 seconds, after that instead of getting text cursor where I have clicked I get entire text-box selected. I am not able to edit any text in presentation unless I use double-click and wait for 10 seconds of freezing time.
I did try to reinstall/downgrade the libreoffice but it doesn't help. Probably something has gone wrong with update as downgrading the package is not helping. I even reinstalled all the packages I have in my system ( with pacman) but problem still persists.
I even tried libreoffice-still package but got the same issue. I am able to use calligra (however I didn't like that over libreoffice)

Perhaps you should consider to un-install the application instead of a re-install.
Then you install it again afresh.

thanks for reply.
I have already tried that including downgrading, and even tried libreoffice-still (inplace of libreoffice-fresh)

I see a similar problem on libreoffice-fresh, when I'm about to edit text at presentation.
When I click on the text box, cpu gets 100% for 5 seconds and then I can write with no problem.
Libre looks unstable. Although I don't use presentation.
Bug report.

I too get 100% cpu for few seconds during freez.
I circumvented the problem by migrating to openoffice (from AUR).

I solved my problem by setting gtk.

libreoffice-fresh 5.2.2-2 (which just moved from testing to extra) should fix this issue with the gtk3 vcl.

What exactly did you do?
EDIT: problem is solved after update to the latest version, as suggested in the previous post. Marking this thread as solved.
