Trouble with ACPI??????

ACPI not totally working...
Hello All,
I am currently using the 2.4.20 kernel. The computer is an HP Pavilion Notebook xt155 (i know now not to buy hp....anyway). I have compiled it to support ACPI and it seems that it partially does. When i type dmesg i get the following output about the ACPI:

tbxface-0099 [01] Acpi_load_tables : ACPI Tables successfully loaded

and i do have some ACPI features like the lid switch, power button, and even the ac adaptor but the battery, which is fairly important, i don't have hope someone can help.

I have also tried to load support for apm but get the following:

apm: BIOS not found.

Thanx in advance

Re: Trouble with ACPI??????

Linux ACPI is rather fugly.  Your bios is likely just not completely supported by Linux.  You should check out the Linux ACPI mailing lists, and ask questions there, regarding you exact motherboard/bios model and revision, etc.

What?
