You'll notice that the dock essentially "undocks" then "redocks" then "undocks" then "redocks in a very short amount of time.

This entire time my laptop has been sitting in the dock, untouched.

Has anyone else seen this type of issue? Thanks!

Re: Lenovo t460s dock undocks / redocks repeatedly

For clarification: Is the docking / undocking actually causing usability issues? Or, are you just concerned about entries appearing in the logs?

Re: Lenovo t460s dock undocks / redocks repeatedly

Yes!

Everything is plugged into the dock, (screen, keyboard, mouse, headphones) and they all cut out every time you see that in the logs. For the USB devices it's not horrible, but for the monitor it fucks up XRandR state, and I have to manually turn the monitor off and on via xrand --output DP2-1 --off to get the in-memory state of various things flushed back out.

Re: Lenovo t460s dock undocks / redocks repeatedly

Is this a recent problem or was it like this before? Can you correlate the problem with any update you have done recently? Have you tried with linux-lts?

Re: Lenovo t460s dock undocks / redocks repeatedly

It appears to be a recent problem, so seeing if anyone on 4.7.2 is having similar issues.

Re: Lenovo t460s dock undocks / redocks repeatedly

I have a t460s and a Pro Dock, running 4.7.2 I have had no docking related issues.  Possibly hardware issue?
