[kindaSOLVED] USB Headset no longer recognized after update today

I am getting the following message from dmesg, after plugging in my Sennheiser P 323D. I updated the kernel (4.8) and some other packages recently. Worked fine before.

EDIT: I downgraded back to the 4.7 kernel (previously 4.8) and the problems seem to have gone away. Still no idea whats wrong, I have a haswell CPU. The 4.8 kernal has caused crashes on those. I have not experienced this, only problems with usb and graphics driver.
