Sound issues after resume

System:
Arch Linux up to date 2016-10-23
GNOME desktop
Radeon R7 250E (Cape Verde) via radeonsi

Hi!

After resume my HDMI audio sink is missing in gnome-control-center audio panel. In pavucontrol I can still choose "Cape Verde/Pitcairn HDMI Audio [Radeon HD 7700/7800 Series] Digital Stereo (HDMI)" as output sink for applications but there's no sound. When playing audio, pactl as well as pacmd show state "running" for this sink.

What does not help? Neither

pulseaudio -k

nor

pasuspender /bin/true

does help.

Any hints?

Re: Sound issues after resume

Any errors pertaining to not being able to recover  the card in dmesg? Can you post the pacmd outputs? Have you rebooted after kernel updates? Output of

uname -r
pacman -Q linux

There's a difference in the sink's state before and after. But when I  play some audio without selecting another output sink, the state changes back to "running".

Have you rebooted after kernel updates?

This was the reason I rebooted at all. Afterwards, the sink didn't work anymore after resume.

Output of

uname -r
pacman -Q linux
$ uname -r
4.8.4-1-ARCH
$ pacman -Q linux
linux 4.8.4-1
