You can use

ls -l /var/log/Xorg.0.log ~/.local/share/xorg/Xorg.0.log

to figure out which one is the youngest and post only that one.

remove xf86-video-ati , you don't need it and at best it clutters up the log.

re-start X and post fresh xorg log .
How are your monitors connected ?

2 monitors are connected to a 4 port display-port hub, one monitor is connected to a DVI port.
The monitors on the hub are mirrored, however one monitor I turn off because it does not support the resolution of the other.
I do not know how to configure, or if it is possible, the monitors to have different resolutions on the hub.
But surely there must be a way because Jason Graves did it.
I have been ignoring this for now because they span to the monitor on the DVI connection.

Ideally I would like to have all connected to the display-port hub and spanned across all three with different resolutions.

Keep in mind Jason Graves used enterprise/workstation class Nvidia cards with nvidia proprietary drivers.

looking at both xorg logs, I think you boot into a display manager, then login to a console ?

If so, switch back to multi-user.target for now , https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Sy … _boot_into

power down the system, power on alll 3 monitors.
boot , start x , post log .

power down, connect all 3 monitors to the hub .
boot, start x, post log .

With a bit of luck those two logs will clarify how linux / X see those monitors on the display port hub.

It looks like in the log that only one monitor is detected by the hub. The LG Ultra wide, as for the Acer AL1717d and HP Compaq LA1751g . . . nothing. Maybe they lack the necessary features.

This technology appears to need monitors that support Display Port 1.2 .

DP1.2 was introduced in dec 2009, are the acer and hp monitors young enough to support that ?

Too bad. I plan on getting new monitors anyway. When I do, I'll make sure they are up to par with the displayport requirements. I'll let you know how it goes. Might be a while though.

MST = Multi-Stream Transport.
Iirc, the card in question is DisplayPort 1.4 compatible. The card in question should have no problem with MST.

HBR2 = High Bit Rate 2
This is basically doubling of the bit rate supported by DisplayPort. Iirc originally introduced with DP1.2 so the card should also support that since it's DP1.4 compatible.

I personally think the problem is with your last configurations (assuming the hub isn't broken).

Since EyeFinity consists of unique displays, not cloned ones, I'm pretty sure it must be a configuration problem at this point.
