Hello, everyone! I'm new on Arch Linux. Glad to join in this community.
OK. The problem is: I have a laptop ASUS UX303UB with Gnome 3 desktop environment installed. I followed the configuration instruction of wiki step by step.
But when I tried to set the palm detection of the touchpad, I failed to make the touchpad device show in the "xinput list".
Here is the terminal messages:
$ xinput list
⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2 [master pointer (3)]
⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4 [slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ xwayland-pointer:13 id=6 [slave pointer (2)]
⎣ Virtual core keyboard id=3 [master keyboard (2)]
↳ Virtual core XTEST keyboard id=5 [slave keyboard (3)]
↳ xwayland-keyboard:13 id=7 [slave keyboard (3)]
Not only the touchpad, but also some other devices, such as power button, are not shown in this list.
However, when I tried,
$ cat /proc/bus/input/devices
I: Bus=0011 Vendor=0002 Product=0012 Version=0000
N: Name="FocalTechPS/2 FocalTech FocalTech Touchpad"
P: Phys=isa0060/serio4/input0
S: Sysfs=/devices/platform/i8042/serio4/input/input15
U: Uniq=
H: Handlers=event10 mouse1
B: PROP=5
B: EV=b
B: KEY=e520 10000 0 0 0 0
B: ABS=260800010000003
All devices expected are listed out.
With both synaptics and libinput installed, I am really confused about this problem.
Hope for your advices and help. Thank you very much.

Problem solved !
What I did is just choose Gnome-on-xorg when login.
However, in the mode of gnome-on-xorg, some other problems show up.(input method, gnome-terminal, etc)
