Keyboard Layout Changes to US on Wayland

Hi

I'm using the Gnome Shell under Wayland as the default was switched to Wayland a couple of weeks ago. However, I face a weird problem. I normally use the British keyboard layout. However under Wayland (and not under the X-server session) it automatically switches back to the US layout for some unkown reason. Then I need to go to Gnome "Region & Layout" settings, delete the entry for the UK layout, add it again and it works for like 10 minutes. Afterwards it switches itself back to the US layout. I use as display language the US English one, and as formats for date and time also US.

I deleted all Gnome files, but had no success with that either.

    [17:19:56 schnecki ~]$ localectl
       System Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8
           VC Keymap: uk
          X11 Layout: gb,at
         X11 Variant: ,
    [17:19:56 schnecki ~]$ cat /etc/locale.conf
    LANG=en_US.UTF-8

What can be the reason for this? I got no clue why this happens.

edit: Seems to be fixed
edit: Problem occured again. So not solved yet.
