Abiword

I'm trying to install abiword but i get:

checking package integrity...
error: archive abiword-2.4.3-1.pkg.tar.gz is corrupted

I've tried different mirrors without success.

Anyone with the same problem?

Re: Abiword

you have to remove it from your cache then redownload
rm /var/cache/pacman/pkg/PACKAGE.VER.pkg.tar.gz
then run
pacman -S package

there probably is a way to remove it using pacman itself but thats something i dont know off the top of my head

Re: Abiword

I'm having this problem too, even after clearing the cached tarball ... any ideas?

Re: Abiword

I had the same error yesterday with two arch64 packages. The package itself shouldn't be corrupt. Recreating the package database solved it for me. And suddenly the package from /var/cache/pacman/pkg was accepted.

Re: Abiword

Actually on ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/current/os/i686/
there is a abiword-2.4.4-1.pkg.tar.gz but in database it's still a abiword-2.4.3-1.pkg.tar.gz

So please, somebody with access to the server,  rebuild current.db.tar.gz
