Suddenly can't paste into vim from PuTTY session

I installed Arch on a Dell Inspiron desktop recently. Right after install, I configure OpenSSH and can connect using PuTTY from Windows machines. I was always able to paste copied text from WIndows into Vim either using a right click, or a middle (scrollwheel) click. Now, I can't do that; right-clicking while in INSERT mode in Vim just changes the mode to "(insert) VISUAL", and middle-clicking just inputs a single hashtag (#). The issue happens from Windows 7 & 10. PuTTY is version 0.67, Vim is version 8.0.

(This might be a PuTTY or Windows issue, not strictly Linux, but I figured I would see if anyone had any ideas here).
