Heanet mirror

Not sure where to put this.

Has anyone tried the ftp.heanet.ie mirror recently. I tried to access it both yesterday and today only to find that it prompt for a password - no anonymous login.

Can someone alse test it?

If its gone it should be removed form the mirrors list.

I used to use ftp://ftp.heanet.ie/mirrors/ftp.archlinux.org but it does not work any more, so I switched to http://ftp.heanet.ie/pub/archlinux/

And everything is working now

Edit: just tried http://ftp.heanet.ie/mirrors/ftp.archlinux.org and that works too. They probably moved from ftp to http

They're currently having problems with anonymous ftp. I've been in touch with them about it, and they're working on it.

It's not gone for good, but until it's fixed, use http as suggested by marmotte.

Cool im glad to know theyre still hosting the arch stuff, it was always the fastest download for me.

HEAnet have just notified my that their anonymous FTP is working again, and I can confirm it.
