Today I updated my Arch Linux to the new gcc-4.1.1, glibc-2.4 and the ati-fglrx-8.25.18 drivers. The first problem I encountered was that i couldn`t load my gcc-4.1.1 compiled ati module so I had to recompile the kernel with gcc-4.1.1 too (thats something that I didnt know)!... But then when i wanted to start a X server my system hanged completely, looking at the logs it was due to the X11 ati module (apparentely NOT the kernel module!) complaining about something related with the new gcc-4.1.1 (libstdc++), so i had to downgrade to the "old" 4.0.3... Now at least I can start a X session but something is still not working correctely, when I want to switch to a console the system hangs completely again!!! Any idea???
Thanx in advance!

For the X11 module, try installing the
libstdc++5
package from pacman.
As for the kernel module... hey iphitus! Did you build it with gcc from testing? :evil:
