I have up-to-date Archlinux x86_64 with KDE and SDDM. I tried implementing what's written on the wiki page:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/KD … y_on_login
and here:
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 1#p1557361
and still KWallet is not open after KDE starts up. I checked that the password is the same for the user and the wallet. Any ideas?
PS. I use ecrypted home with dm-crypt, which gets unlocked by pam_mount on user login, as written here:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pam_mount
My /etc/pam.d/sddm config file looks as follows:
#%PAM-1.0
auth include system-login
auth optional pam_mount.so
auth optional pam_kwallet5.so
auth optional pam_kwallet.so kdehome=.kde4
account include system-login
password optional pam_mount.so
password include system-login
session include system-login
session optional pam_mount.so
session optional pam_kwallet5.so
session optional pam_kwallet.so
I tried adding dashes in front of "auth" and "session", like on the wiki page, still doesn't work.

I have the same configuration and it doesn't work for me either.

Looks like you are missing the auto_start in your session optional line.
Should read
session optional pam_kwallet5.so auto_start
