Openshot crashe when source videos are of several format

Hello

I tried to make a video of my various summer videos that are taken with two android phones, Samsung video camera and Sony A500 digital camera. When I compose the video on the lines I can get something done but things get really slow fast and then Openshot just crashes.

I think the problem may be that the source video files are in various format. I used ffprobe to get this information:

Stream #0:0(eng): Video: h264 (High) (avc1 / 0x31637661), yuv420p, 1920x1080, 17043 kb/s, 30 fps, 30 tbr, 90k tbn, 180k tbc (default)
Stream #0:1(eng): Audio: aac (LC) (mp4a / 0x6134706D), 48000 Hz, stereo, fltp, 256 kb/s (default)

Stream #0:0(fin): Video: h264 (Main) (avc1 / 0x31637661), yuv420p, 1280x720 [SAR 1:1 DAR 16:9], 9020 kb/s, 50 fps, 50 tbr, 90k tbn, 180k tbc (default)
Stream #0:1(fin): Audio: aac (LC) (mp4a / 0x6134706D), 48000 Hz, stereo, fltp, 128 kb/s (default)

Stream #0:0[0x1011]: Video: h264 (High) (HDMV / 0x564D4448), yuv420p(top first), 1920x1080 [SAR 1:1 DAR 16:9], 25 fps, 50 tbr, 90k tbn, 50 tbc
Stream #0:1[0x1100]: Audio: ac3 (AC-3 / 0x332D4341), 48000 Hz, stereo, fltp, 256 kb/s
Stream #0:2[0x1200]: Subtitle: hdmv_pgs_subtitle ([144][0][0][0] / 0x0090), 1920x1080

Stream #0:0(und): Video: h264 (Main) (avc1 / 0x31637661), yuv420p(tv, bt709/bt709/iec61966-2-4), 1440x1080 [SAR 4:3 DAR 16:9], 12059 kb/s, 25 fps, 25 tbr, 25k tbn, 50 tbc (default)
Stream #0:1(und): Audio: aac (LC) (mp4a / 0x6134706D), 48000 Hz, stereo, fltp, 128 kb/s (default)

Stream #0:0(eng): Video: h264 (High) (avc1 / 0x31637661), yuv420p, 1920x1080, 17465 kb/s, SAR 1:1 DAR 16:9, 29.97 fps, 29.97 tbr, 90k tbn, 180k tbc (default)
Stream #0:1(eng): Audio: aac (LC) (mp4a / 0x6134706D), 48000 Hz, stereo, fltp, 155 kb/s (default)

1. Does anybody else have this problem?
2. What would be the best way (quality wise) to convert all these videos to format that Openshot works best with?
3. Can I still use 50fps profile in Openshot altough some of the files are 25fps only or does it introduce jitter or quality issues?
