I cannot find the fdutils for Arch. How can I install fdutils?

There is an archived PKGBUILD on the old AUR mirror, see if you can use that. If you can get the PKGBUILD up to snuff. and want to submit it to the current AUR, feel free to do so.
Mod note: moving to AUR issues.

OK, I guess I will have to download the fdutils-5.5.tar.gz file from the https://fdutils.linux.lu/ website, put the file in a proper subdirectory in my home directory, then give the command
tar xzf fdutils-5.5.tar.gz
then go to the directory where the file was extracted and give the commands
./configure
make
sudo checkinstall
sudo make install

There is no checkinstall on Arch. Read how it is done on Arch: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Creating_packages

I am sorry, I did not see your reply before sending my own reply. I will try, thank you.

Thanks.
Strangely enough, it seems to me that I was able to use the fdutils while I was installing Arch Linux.

What did you use to install?

I used the iso file I downloaded from the Arch website last october. I installed the 64 bit version.
I used fdutils to copy a file, through a floppy disk, from another computer of mine, with another Linux distribution, to the computer where I was installing Arch, because without fdutils I was not able to let the destination PC read the floppy disk written by the source PC. That file was a script that I wrote to let a PC with the Linux operating system access the network of the company where I work, because it requires IEEE 802.1x authentication. So I think that I used pacstrap to install the fdutils.
