Can you post

sudo fuser -v /dev/snd/*

during this constellation? (Teamspeak and Clementine open and attempting to play)

Re: [SOLVED] Audio problem with teamspeak3

Please post text as text within [ code ] tags.

That said that all looks as expected, neither teamspeak nor clementine are exclusively hogging your device and pulse should usually do correct routing. Is that not the case? What's the output of

pacmd list-sinks
pacmd list-sink-inputs

another thing that might be a possibility, is that teamspeak opens up a corking stream which mutes clementine, check that in your favorite pulse mixing application. To disable this behavior commentthe

load-module module-role-cork

line from your /etc/pulse/default.pa

After commenting out  load-module module-role-cork and rebooting everything is working fine thank you.

Re: [SOLVED] Audio problem with teamspeak3

Your clementine stream is muted, have you restarted pulseaudio after commenting the line (

pulseaudio -k

and letting it respawn?) that is pretty indicative of a cork going on, there might also be a possibility that there's a setting in teamspeak itself, go through your options.

On second glance that option might have been renamed, look for a

load-module module-role-ducking

and comment that. (or use

pacmd list-modules

and check if there's any ducking or corking module still active and unload it with

pacmd unload-module $NAME

) if that helped, but commenting the offending line in default.pa doesn't help, we have to find out where GNOME stores its overriding configuration (somewhere in /etc/gdm maybe, hopefully?) and do the relevant adjustments there.

Whelp, that's what I get for having a post lying around and not bothering to click on preview before posting tongue Nice to hear

Re: [SOLVED] Audio problem with teamspeak3

There is no load-module module-role-ducking or something containing load-module module-role- except the line you suggested to comment out. Should i still check the other 2 options you suggested?

Re: [SOLVED] Audio problem with teamspeak3

No that's alright if it works now, module-role-ducking is not supposed to be there by default, but I was a bit confused since the Modules page of pulseaudio mentions the ducking but not the corking module. I also always simply have module-role-corking disabled/commented.
