Installation on USB key: Unable to find root device 'UUID=...'

Dear ArchUsers,

I want to install arch on my usb key. I followed the guide in the wiki:

Unfortuately I always get the following error message:

(sorry for the bad image quality, my smartphone is broken)
Restarting after that lets me boot properly and without problems into Arch but the next reboot will produce the error again.
I already tried using PARTUUID and tried various combinations of hooks and modules in mkinitcpio and as stated in the guide I got the block hook always before autodetect. I tried systemd-boot and grub without different results (well the grub error message was worded differently, still meant the same).

Still, nothing helped. Do you have an Idea what could be wrong?
