Upgraded system and now bluetoothctl is unable to start. Error message:
bluetoothctl: error while loading shared libraries: libreadline.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Have tried downgrading bluetoothctl (same error).
Attempting to downgrade to readline 6.3.008-4 gives error:
installing readline (6.3.008-4) breaks dependency 'readline>=7.0'
No idea how to go about fixing this. We've had a good run on bluetooth lately, and this is just disheartening

bluez was rebuilt for the new dependency as well, either your system upgrade wasn't a system upgrade (check your mirrors!) or you should make sure to reboot so that all involved libraries load the correct version

Got the same problem with connmanctl, still looking for a fix though.

Please don't hijack threads, chap. However, the solution for both of you should be to switch mirrors and 'pacman -Syyu'.
If either of you are still having trouble, make sure you have bluez-utils v5.43-2 or connman v1.33-3 installed, respectively. If you do, make sure you don't have any manually installed versions in /usr/local.
chap, if you still need further support, please open a new thread for your issue.

It was a /bin/local issue. I would've never thought to look there. Thank you.
