This is a long term observation (last 6 months-ish) that my plasmoids often move from where I have positioned and sized them. No obvious indications in journalctl, but there are loads of errors in there which I assume are non-critical errors (how do I turn down the verbosity please?). The really irritating problem over the last month has been KDE freezing at some point which I suspect is when the inactivity time-out kicks in ... again nothing in journalctl. I haven't seen anything reported in the forums, which suggests it is my set up, but not sure where to proceed from here.
Edit: OK, so it does appear to be related to the inactivity/save screen. ALT CTRL F2 to terminal, login as root and issuing command
loginctl unlock-sessions
sorts it. On returning to KDE, desktop now works fine.
So, why does the inactivity screen saver not appear?
