Virtualbox and opengl

HI,

I have installed the lastest version of arch, and very impressed. have everything up and running except virtualbox.

I have installed windows into the virtual box successfully but when installing a software it says opengl not installed.

I have enable 3d in the settings but still not having any luck.

Thank you

Re: Virtualbox and opengl

when installing a software it says opengl not installed

please post the exact error message and the command you entered that gave that message.

If the "command " was done inside a gui, try starting the gui from commandline and post the output it shows.

Re: Virtualbox and opengl

Ok in terminal i get the following as soon as i open virtual box:

Qt WARNING: libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile

Then when i run the software i want to install (Dialux), terminal says nothing but windows says the following:

No or generic OpenGL driver found. Please install the latest OpenGL driver for your graphics hardware and restart setup.

IMHO, no.

Let's try the obvious.  Have you installed OpenGl?
What are the output of glxinfo
What is your video chipset?

Re: Virtualbox and opengl

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/QEMU tends to be the best supported Virtual Machine for desktop use.

Please answer ewaller' questions and add  lspci -k output .
