I see a package set for linux 4.8.12-3 in [testing] but I do not see a corresponding entry in git.archlinux.org for the 2 to 3 bump. Is there a web UI to directly query the git tree or is what I am currently using it: https://git.archlinux.org/svntogit/pack … ages/linux
Note: if I pull from svn on the CLI, I do find the files corresponding to -3.

I just updated my workstation and among the new stuff was
==> Package upgrade only (new release):
core/linux 4.8.12-2 2 -> 3
core/linux-headers 4.8.12-2 2 -> 3
There's no description or valuable link at https://www.archlinux.org/packages/core/x86_64/linux/
For example Con Kolivas' releases has its changelogs at https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Linux-ck/Changelog

They can usually be found here, although for some reason the most recent update isn't showing. There may be a delay in updating the web UI from the SVN master.

Aha! Alas a delay must be the reason there's presently nothing to see. (Is that common by the way?)

My kernel just updated linux 4.8.12-2 -> 4.8.12-3 and I was interested to find what changed. Clicked on packages change link but the change was not there. Went looking around and found this thread. Is this a bug or is there always a delay?

It looks like the svntogit stalled about 31 hours ago: https://git.archlinux.org/svntogit/packages.git/
Mod note: moving to Arch Discussion.

(Edit by ewaller... Merged with the referenced thread causing this post to become moot)
See https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=220500
The package in question is now in core/, and the linked topic covers the underlying issue, so I'm going to close this topic.
Closing, for deletion.

Several archlinux.org subdomains were failing at about that time. Perhaps someone more in the loop on our servers could chime in, but there were some symptoms suggestive of a short-lived DOS.

Rescued Graysky's post from the dust bin and merged threads
Graysky, your post was actually older and you seem to have inherited this thread. Would you pick a title that sums up this mess I've made?

Looks good to me. I've also updated the bug report with a link to this topic. For the record, I saw your topic was older, but figured it'd be easier to just direct you to the newer topic.

In the meantime, svntogit seems to have caught up with the updates -- at least for the kernel package (most likely for the rest too).

The issue was that some of our servers crashed two days ago due to a kernel bug which caused some breakage in svntogit which Evangelos resolved. It should be fixed now.
