[SOLVED] Skype, WebRTC not working

Hi, does anyone know why https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/skypeforlinux-bin/ is not working any more? Is project abandoned?

Re: [SOLVED] Skype, WebRTC not working

I use it everyday and it works fine. That AUR package was last updated only a few days ago so I don't know why you would ask if it is abandoned?

Re: [SOLVED] Skype, WebRTC not working

I just reinstalled it and now it works once again.

I'm not sure what was the problem, I haven't updated Arch for a while so update couldn't cause this. Basically Skype was showing me message "This version is not supported any more", or something very similar.

That's your reason why right there...

Re: [SOLVED] Skype, WebRTC not working

Ok my last answer was kinda dumb.

I haven't updated Arch for a while, then Skype stops working, then of course I update it, however Skype still won't work.

I'm not sure what was the problem.

Re: [SOLVED] Skype, WebRTC not working

Installing the newest version of skypeforlinux-bin fixed your problem.

Updating Arch doesn't update any of the AUR packages installed on your system, you have to take care of that yourself.

Please remember to mark this thread as [SOLVED].

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan

I'm not sure if 'it' refers to Arch, to Skype or both. If 'it' refers to Skype, please keep in mind that partial updates are not supported!

Thanks for answer. I didn't know this. Is there any automatic way of updating every AUR package like official packages?

BTW, I can not find how to set topic to "Solved".

Edit your first post and there is an open to change the thread title.  Prepend [SOLVED] to the title.
