Docky in hiding/shy.

I'm trying to install Docky on Arch + Deepin group + Deepin extras.
So I renamed "-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 406K Sep 29 11:16 /usr/bin/dde-dock" to "-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 406K Sep 29 11:16 /usr/bin/DISABLED-dde-dock".
Reboot and Deepin's dock is gone. It's not on screen. It's not in ps aux output.
I install Docky.
I call Docky from the terminal. I can see that a certain height is reserved for Docky at the bottom of the screen. And I see 2 errors in the terminal :

I check the dependencies on the docky package page : https://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/any/docky/
And install some missing dependencies :

I call Docky again from the terminal. Same 2 errors.

The Network Manager package was explicitly installed together with Deepin group + Deepin Extras. I also specified it. And it is running.
I cannot vouch for IUPower/IUPowerProxy.

This are Docky's settings at the time the error occurred. I obviously couldn't get to the Docky preferences program without a dock. :

Anyone seen/experienced this before?
And (how) did you manage resolve it?

P.S.
I have Docky uninstalled at the moment and the Deepin Dock back in place.

Re: Docky in hiding/shy.

What I tried after my first post and did NOT work :

(1) Stop Docky. Delete the entire folder with plugins. Restart Docky (which recreates the folder).:

rm -Rf ~/.local/share/docky/plugins

(2) First list all Docky addins to be able to create the  missing file "~/.local/share/docky/plugins/addin-db-001/config.xml". Then set various addins to false/true.
RESULT : This doesn't make any difference. Still IUPower, IUPowerProxy and INetworkManager, INetworkManagerProxy errors after restarting Docky. The "Plugins = [Trash]" setting (with the gconftool-2 command) seems to result in the Trash plugin being the only plugin loaded anyway (see debug log in screenshots above). So I assume that this file is obsoleted (it didn't exist to begin with) or it is ignored under certain circumstances.

(3) List all gconf config files on my box and opened all non-zero length files. Checked their contents. But couldn't find anything related to Docky's plugin manager. :

What I also found (and did not try yet) :

(1) I found this forum post (by user badbodh) with a resolution for both errors which involves modifying the C# code : https://forum.manjaro.org/t/docky-docky … lem/5209/4
It refers to this bug report which lists the same IUPower error : https://bugs.launchpad.net/docky/+bug/1309706 (Titled : Docky crashes when disconnect or reconnect power adapter to laptop)

(2) This one (with the exact same IUPower error, and from early this year) was ignored somehow : https://answers.launchpad.net/docky/+question/284773 (Titled : Cannot launch docky)

Why Docky can't silently ignore these errors and do its thing is beyond me.

Re: Docky in hiding/shy.

I just replaced Docky with Plank and Plank Themer.
The issue must be somewhere in the extras that Docky layers over Plank.
