[Python 3] OPENSSL_1.0.0 not defined in file libssl.so.1.0.0

I get the following error when trying to use cryptography in Python 3.5:

/media/Data.I/Projects/jimmy-mcnulty/venv/lib/python3.5/site-packages/cryptography/hazmat/bindings/_openssl.cpython-35m-x86_64-linux-gnu.so: symbol SSLv3_method, version OPENSSL_1.0.0 not defined in file libssl.so.1.0.0 with link time reference

I'm running the latest version of cryptography and openssl

Re: [Python 3] OPENSSL_1.0.0 not defined in file libssl.so.1.0.0

symbol SSLv3_method

SSLv3 is considered insecure since atleast 2014 and disabled on AL.

Try disabling SSLv3 in that project.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Scrapy is the library that's using all this. I don' t know how can I disable SSLv3.

In the scrapy documentation about settings lookup DOWNLOADER_CLIENT_TLS_METHOD and try changing it.

You could also try the pip install to see if that one works.
