Mouse clicking too quick

Hi All,
I have a problem after a recent update.
I have a Technet wireless mouse that when I click on something brings it up and hides it within a second. I used this mouse for last 2 years without problems.

Bus 001 Device 009: ID 062a:4101 Creative Labs Wireless Keyboard/Mouse

Same thing when I select a text which immediately deselect itself.

I do not experience the same problem when using my touch pad.

I think some parameters have changed after recent update and I send two clicks instead of one.

Please advise.
Thank you

This is uncannily like the description of tech problems I get when trying to help my 80 year old mother over the phone.

Can you provide some insight into 'something' and 'it'  ?
Is this in a curses application in the console? In Xorg? in Wayland?  Which driver are you using?
Anything in the journal or the appropriate logs?

Re: Mouse clicking too quick

My apologies for not being specific.

This is LXDE and the behavior is in every software from VLC to Firefox.

Journalctl is not throwing any interesting logs about mouse behavior.

Re: Mouse clicking too quick

Have you tried other operating systems to see that it's in fact a software issue and not just a broken mouse? Download a live session ISO for Ubuntu or something and see if it works properly on that. It doesn't require much effort and will help you narrow down the problem significantly. You could also test the mouse on another computer.
