I've been trying to install the linux-lts kernel as I read in a previous post that this lts kernel had better support for my headset than what I'm using, so I'm interested to have a go.
I have done:
pacman -S linux-lts
I have also changed /boot/loader/entries/arch.conf to reflect the new kernel I want to use.
However, on boot I get stuck at "Starting CUPS Scheduler...". I've tried installing linux-lts-headers but that hasn't seemed to make a difference.
Here's a journalctl -b log if that's any use: http://pastebin.com/gy16JeRg
Thanks.

You do not think the following is relevant?
Dec 18 17:21:32 pikachu systemd[1]: lightdm.service: Main process exited, code=exited, status=1/FAILURE
Dec 18 17:21:32 pikachu systemd[1]: lightdm.service: Unit entered failed state.
Dec 18 17:21:32 pikachu systemd[1]: lightdm.service: Failed with result 'exit-code'.
Unfortunately you have not supplied the xorg.log for the failed lightdm invocation along with any matching config files.
I do note there appears to be an nvidia GPU in the system
Dec 18 17:21:26 pikachu kernel: input: HDA NVidia HDMI/DP,pcm=3 as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:01.0/0000:01:00.1/sound/card2/input23
If the nvidia driver instead is in use instead of the nouveau driver was the relevant lts package installed?

Hi, I thought it was relevant but when I posted it in the IRC channel I was told there was nothing interesting in the log. However, I should have read the log more carefully.
I never knew that I needed seperate nvidia drivers for the linux-lts kernel. I read the wiki and have installed the nvidia-dkms driver and I was able to boot into linux-lts with no problem.
Thank you for your help.
