So I am making a custom desktop enviroment but I need a way to create a logout command, I don't need any code or anything just what to modify/access to create a logout command. That's all, not much, but it is confusing. Any help?

just what to modify/access to create a logout command
How do you expect *anyone* to know what you should modify on your "custom desktop enviroment" to "create a logout command"????
You didn't even mention if you're after a shortcut or some menu entry (to what menu) or a button or ............
You can use loginctl or (in case of an X11 session) simply terminate whatever is keeping the session (WM, xterm, ...) if that's what you need to know.

#! had a nice python (or bash... can't remember) script with a keybind that is probably still to be found on the interwebs if you have google in your area...
