libvirt - sound with Windows 7 x64 guest

Trying to get sound working with Windows 7 x64 guest. Sound card "ich6" is recognized and Windows installed the drivers successfully.
When playing something in the guest, sound comes out completely garbled. I tried all other models - AC97 also works (with drivers from Realtek), but the sound is even worse. Other cards are not recognized by Windows.
Qemu driver is set to ALSA (QEMU_AUDIO_DRV=alsa), pulseaudio is not installed.
This is ~/.asoundrc (I had to do this because a) HDMI sound on video card gets assigned as card0 on boot; b) Intel onboard sound card doesn't support HW mixing):

pcm.!default
{
    type asym
    playback.pcm
    {
        type plug
        slave.pcm "dmixed"
    }
    capture.pcm
    {
        type plug
        slave.pcm "dsnooped"
    }
}

pcm.dsnooped {
    type dsnoop
    ipc_key 1025
    slave {
        pcm "hw:1,0"
        channels 1
    }
}

Has anyone been able to get sound working with libvirt and Windows 7 guest? Post your configs please.
