[SOLVED] tint2 true transparency

Hi there

So I've got an openbox + compton + tint2 setup and I've been trying to get the tint2 transparency to show windows that open up behind it instead of the desktop, but with no luck. The true transparency works fine with the terminal and just about anything else except tint2 it seems. Any help is much appreciated.

Re: [SOLVED] tint2 true transparency

Does it work on restarting tint2 as suggested in the  wiki (since it apparently does not catch CM_* selection changes and remains with a 24bit window)

"xwininfo" will tell you whether the window is 24 or 32 bit, 24bit windows won't provide an alpha channel.

Also check your tint2 config. Make sure you don't have the "disable_transparency" option set to 1.
What does the output in your terminal say when you launch tint2? I get "real transparency on... depth: 32".

xwininfo reports the panel as having a depth of 24. How do i get it to 32?
