Re: May 2006 Screenshots

I would want to post a screenshot, but right now my desktop looks like nothing. It's just my old replacement pc because my fast linux laptop is broken (I spilled sprite on it as many already know sad) and I haven't done cool stuff to this desktop yet

Ahh, I needed the "gtk-engines-cvs" from shadowhands repo.

I don't think so... I compiled it fine with gtk-engines from Current.

Openbox + Gnome with Rezlooks theme for both, garGANTuan icons, xcompmgr, wallpaper by Tigaer:

screen10qt.th.png

Why so man OB3 screenshots? Because OB3 is cool, that is why! tongue

(Just remember that the "stable" version of Openbox will lose all displayed windows when you activate xcompmgr, so run xcompmgr on session start, or minimize the apps you're using or switch to an unused desktop before running. Not sure if this is fixed in CVS.)

Let me know what you think....

small little details i would change:

1.The title font is really... make it smoother (aa?) and so it fits in better with the theme
2.I think the black toolbars with transparency looks really unpleasant (to my eyes) so either use compiz and make everything transparent or make the titlebars the same color (black or silver)

there are some other problems (i just generally dont like kde lol) but its okay

sorry for my critism but im just expressing my opinion

i wont present my screenshot. You dont need it. Imagine a black screen-You got it.
(I use openbox and hardly keep more than one window open.)

I appreciate the criticism, I thought that the toolbar/titlebars didn't work too well together, I think I just needed to hear someone else to say it ...
